According to the National Center for Education Statistics, on average only 84% of students graduate on time from high school in the United States.
Graduating can be a challenge for all students, however, the graduation rate tends to be lower for racial ethnic minority students, the drop out percentages are also higher. This leads to a cycle of poverty that can last a lifetime.
Our group mentoring program is specifically designed to meet the needs of at-risk teenage girls in our nation’s public high schools. It empowers and inspires them to turn their obstacles into opportunities by providing the exposure, motivation and confidence to create a better future for themselves, their families, and society.
Students emerge with a solid foundation and resilience, while overcoming their life’s challenges and vulnerabilities and giving them a competitive edge.
