Sharon Piper Donovan
Sharon Piper Donovan is an associate at the law firm Weber Gallagher. She uses skills honed during 10 years as an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia in defending against liquor liability, construction and general liability claims. She also draws on those skills in representing companies and individuals faced with federal or state criminal prosecution or investigation. Sharon handles regulatory and compliance issues as well.
Before joining the firm, Sharon was an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia for 10 years, where she tried dozens of jury trials and hundreds of nonjury trials in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. As a founding member of the Attorney General’s/Philadelphia’s Gun Violence Task Force Sharon investigated and prosecuted dozens of criminals utilizing the grand jury process including the indictment and conviction of nine city workers for RICO and theft . In the Insurance Fraud Unit, Sharon also worked within the grand jury process to investigate fraud and abuse by individuals, medical providers and companies.
Sharon is a graduate from Rutgers University School of Law and Syracuse University.
