Prior to joining Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, Norma worked in Accounting in the hospitality industry in Aruba, Bonaire, Jamaica and the USA, and brings over 30 years of accounting experience to this organization. She received her fundamental accounting and auditing training during her 10 year tenure with one of the big five Accounting firms.
She likes to travel and visited the UK and some European countries while completing her accounting studies in London, to attain professional qualifications in Accounting, Finance and Taxation.
Norma is originally from the Caribbean, and has been in her adopted home of Miami for over 20 years. She enjoys playing tennis for the exercise. In her early years she learned to fish using a “hook and line”, but has now graduated to the “rod and reel”. She recently hooked the “big” fish but was unable to bring it in before it got away.
