ennifer Platzkere Snyder, Esquire, is a Partner in the law firm Dilworth Paxson LLP, where she specializes in solving workplace disputes.  With clients that include small entrepreneurial start-ups and the Fortune 100, her practice ranges from traditional union-management relations and defending claims of employment discrimination to non-competition and trade secret disputes, wage and hour audits, and creation of smart policies for the 21st century workplace.  While Ms. Snyder works with her clients to minimize litigation risks, she will represent them from the inception of litigation before governmental agencies through the Federal and state trial and appellate courts or arbitration.
Selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, Ms. Snyder was also named one of “50 on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer and The Pennsylvania Law Weekly for her ability to balance her busy legal career with her passion for performing, as she can frequently be seen acting in regional theaters and singing in her own cabaret act.  An award-winning lecturer for the American Bar Association, among other organizations, she has taught programs addressing the use of social media in the workplace, enforcing and avoiding covenants not to compete, dealing with the periodically-absent employee, and the impact of the National Labor Relations Board on the non-union workplace.  She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and serves on the Executive Committee of the Temple American Inn of Court, the Editorial Board of The Philadelphia Lawyer magazine, the Alumnae Board of The Baldwin School, and as an Investigator for the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention.  Ms. Snyder was awarded The Baldwin School’s Distinguished Young Alumnae Award and was elected a Fellow to the American Bar Foundation for her outstanding achievements and dedication to the welfare of her community and to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Ms. Snyder received her law degree from Villanova University School of Law and her B.S. degree, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.  She is also a graduate of the National Theater Institute.  She is admitted to practice law in the Federal and State courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
