The Henry Ford
Geri Bond is the Senior Executive of Corporate Relations at The Henry Ford (Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum) in Dearborn, Michigan. She has been with The Henry Ford over seven years and is responsible for corporate memberships, fulfilling contractual agreements with sponsors and building long-term relationships. Prior to this position Geri was the Manager of Education and Youth Services and was actively involved with teachers. In this position, her primary role was to create awareness of the educational resources, scholarships, professional development, and historical artifacts showcased at The Henry Ford such as the Rosa Parks Bus, The Lincoln Chair and Kennedy Car. Geri did this by visiting hundreds of schools and exhibiting at local and national conferences. She was nicknamed the, “Ambassador for The Henry Ford.”
During her school visits throughout Michigan she witnessed firsthand the inconsistencies that exists and was compelled to return to school to obtain a degree in education. She desires to help students fulfill their childhood dreams, believe in their abilities and find their passion. Then, be accessible to assist them in achieving their personal, academic and professional goals.
Her work history consists of several years in sales and marketing, over 15 years in management; training and empowering employees to provide “optimum” customer-service. Coordinated and executed small and large corporate events including fashion shows.
Geri attended Detroit Public Schools and is a graduate of Osborn High. While in school she played the violin and was a Girl Scout for eight years. She enjoys the outdoors and has camped many times as a child and adult. She has been White Water Rafting in West Virginia and hiking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
She has served on Berkley Educational Foundation, Berkley Diversity Council, and Michigan Reading Association.
In 2010 Geri married Joel Bond. She has two sons that graduated from Berkley High School. They are currently enrolled in Michigan colleges. Geri has a Master’s in Education, from Marygrove College (2012) and received a Bachelor of Science (Hospitality Management) from Madonna University (2000).
