Veronica Tomor is currently the Sr. Manager for Health Outcomes with Novo Nordisk Inc.(NNI) a global leader in Diabetes care. She has responsibility for training and communication of pharmacoeconomic data to decision makers in health plans, government, federal institutions and hospitals across the SE part of the U.S. She recently transitioned to the role from the Medical and Scientific side as a former Sr. Medical Scientific Liaison for Managed Care.

Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Dr. Tomor spent two years with a Cardiovascular company as a Medical Scientific Liaison for the SE, working with Key Opinion Leaders in the field of Cardiology. She holds a Doctoral degree in Pharmacy and has been a Pharmacist for over 15 years practicing in various settings including hospital, Managed Care and recently Pharmaceutical Industry.

During her career, Dr. Tomor has published and presented at national healthcare meetings and symposia. She has won multiple awards from organizations representing the practice of pharmaceutical care and has chaired multiple committees’ representing the profession. She has also been listed in the 2007 United Who’s Who as an influential person in healthcare and is currently listed in the 2009 American Diabetes Association Who’s Who in Diabetes Treatment, Education and Research. She has been passionate about being a mentor for the Women of Tomorrow Program for the past 4 years at Hallandale High School, a role she has found rewarding and fulfilling. She believes in the work-life balance concept and although challenging has managed to maintain the same weight for the past 17 years (amidst three children, full time job that requires weekly travel) through a realistic exercise and healthy eating program. She has designed her own program to fit her lifestyle and hopes to be able to share her philosophy and tactics with others via a book. She resides in Hollywood, Fl with her husband Fred and their three boys (Christopher 8, Nicholas, 4 and Noel 1).
