Ms. Dildra Martin-Ogburn joined Broward County Public Schools in October 2001, as an Employee Relations Specialist. In that capacity, she was responsible for assisting with the Negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements between the District and nine (9) Labor Units. In November 2003, Ms. Martin-Ogburn was appointed Director of Equal Educational Opportunities. She is responsible for overseeing the District’s compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local discriminatory laws; ensuring equal access and equal opportunities for all District stakeholders. Ms. Martin-Ogburn has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources, in both the Public and Private Sector. Prior to joining Broward County Public Schools, Ms. Martin-Ogburn spent 11 years working in various administrative positions for Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Public Administration, along with Professional Certifications in Human Resource Policy Management and Labor Studies & Labor Relations, both from Florida International University. In addition, Ms. Martin-Ogburn holds Professional Certifications in Negotiating Labor Contracts, from Harvard University, and Conducting Internal Investigations from George Washington University. Ms. Martin-Ogburn is currently a Doctoral Student in Educational Leadership, K-12 Program at Florida Atlantic University.

She has been appointed to several committees within the Broward County School District:

  • Superintendent’s Insurance Advisory Committee
  • Professional Standards Committee
  • Security Clearance Committee, and the
  • Student Code of Conduct Committee

In 2004-2005 and 2006-2007, Ms. Martin-Ogburn was also listed in Manchester Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals.
