Beatrice A. Gonzalez
Director of Community Outreach, Special Events & Grants
Beatrice, most often referred to as Bea, has always rooted for the underdog. Every summer she volunteered at her elementary school, a place that still remains close to her heart, as an intern helping to tutor children who were “behind the eight ball.”
Beatrice was the store manager for a national clothing store, simultaneously attending Florida International University, where she graduated with a degree in Advertising and a Minor in Marketing. She worked as a cyber-forensic lab investigator, providing investigative support for cyber-crimes, and as a Marketing Assistant for an IT consulting firm.
In March of 2009, she was introduced to Women of Tomorrow by her sister in law who, at the time, was Women of Tomorrow’s Broward & Palm Beach County Program Coordinator. She volunteered at that year’s gala, and in August, became a part of the five person team. Women of Tomorrow quickly became her second home.
As Women of Tomorrow’s Director of Community Outreach, Special Events & Grants, Beatrice provides fundraising, event, marketing, development, media and public relations management for the organization. She is responsible for the organization’s special events including yearly fundraisers, the organization’s Annual Gala, Graduation Luncheon, Project Prom Dress and other fundraising, social and programmatic initiatives. Additionally, she manages and oversees grant research, proposal submissions, awards and reporting for the organization. Beatrice is proud to be a part of Women of Tomorrow – serving and impacting the lives of at-risk young girls who otherwise may have selected a different path.
Beatrice spends most of her spare time trying to convince her husband to adopt more dogs. However, until then, she enjoys spending weekends with her husband and much loved dog – Peanut.
